 3rd Annual Square Foot Show

For the third year in a row, The Arts of Life’s Annual Square Foot Show was a huge success. Covering a multitude of media and genre, our North Shore gallery was pleased to display the work of over 65 artists, with and without developmental disabilities, from across the country.

One gallery-goer, Vanessa DeLeon, expressed her delight in the exhibition saying, “It was great to see everyone’s art exhibited together. There was no distinction. Art is art.”

This year we invited exhibiting artists to discuss their work at our opening reception. It was a great way for viewers to get an inside scoop on the artists’ processes and philosophies.

North Shore artist Ted Gram- Boarini has exhibited twice now in our square foot show. " I like how the art talks just kind of happened. I talked about my reference. It was of Picasso's "Red Dog." Yeah, I sold my piece, too. "

Local artist and north shore studio volunteer Trent Taylor said about his first time exhibiting in our square foot show, “The square foot format brings all artists to an even playing field. It was a nice challenge and incredibly motivating seeing [The Arts of Life] artists working on their pieces in the studio. I’m definitely excited to do it again next year.”

The Arts of Life would like to give a special thank you to all of the talented artists who submitted their work, Viccino’s Pizza for delicious pizza, and all of our visitors who made this year’s square foot show the squarest show on earth!
