Van Go Go performs for Resources for Community Living's Mixer at Level 257
On Thursday, October 20th, Van Go Go performed from participants and supporters of Resources for Community Living, a Rolling Meadows based organization that offers adults with disabilities opportunities to achieve greater self-esteem, dignity, and participation in all aspects of community life through affordable, independent housing options, individualized skill instruction, and necessary support services. Woodfield Mall's Level 257, a 42,000 square foot restaurant/bar/bowling ally/arcade, was a perfect venue for VGG's energetic sound and creative lyrics.
The band played songs from their self-titled album, released last year, as well as a few new tunes. The evening featured the debut performance of new band member Ted Hamel, who enthusiastically embraced his role as harmonica player and vocalist. Also performing were Niki Huesman, Danny Frownfelter, Hector Jones, Ted Gram-Boarini, Russell Copenharve, Domenic Bucci and Jeff Boarini.
