Van Go Go performs for Resources for Community Living's Mixer at Level 257

On Thursday, October 20th, Van Go Go performed from participants and supporters of Resources for Community Living, a Rolling Meadows based organization that offers adults with disabilities opportunities to achieve greater self-esteem, dignity, and participation in all aspects of community life through affordable, independent housing options, individualized skill instruction, and necessary support services. Woodfield Mall's Level 257, a 42,000 square foot restaurant/bar/bowling ally/arcade, was a perfect venue for VGG's energetic sound and creative lyrics.

The band played songs from their self-titled album, released last year, as well as a few new tunes. The evening featured the debut performance of new band member Ted Hamel, who enthusiastically embraced his role as harmonica player and vocalist. Also performing were Niki Huesman, Danny Frownfelter, Hector Jones, Ted Gram-Boarini, Russell Copenharve, Domenic Bucci and Jeff Boarini.

Check out the gallery below for images from the evening:

1)    Ted G. wails into his headset mic, while Hector, Niki and Danny gather around a floor mic and Domenic plays guitar

2)    Ted G. and Hector sing while Jeff plays bass

3)    Ted H. plays the harmonica and Russell shares the mic to sing

4)    RCL’s Executive Director, Fred Stupen introduces the band

Big thanks to Fred Stupen for inviting Van Go Go to perform. Please check out the RCL website for more information about this unique organization.
