For over a decade, John Sharp has been a muralist in the Chicago land area for both commercial businesses and private residences. Through that experience, John has painted over an estimated 100,000 square feet of wall and ceiling. While under commission for the largest behavioral health care provider in the nation, he had the privilege to serve as their artist in residence for three years. John has not only been able to integrate his experience with visual art making into the community, but with music as well. As a musician, John has been able to help form the Arts of Life’s North Shore Music Ensemble. “It has been a joy being able to take my experiences as a musician and art maker and see not only how they have contributed to this community, but also how they have moved in directions I other wise would have never imagined.” John also has a Bachelor of Applied Art from Central Michigan University.
