MORE ABOUT THE BANDS
ABOUT Swamp Heat:
Chicago's Swamp Heat proudly carries on the tradition and sound of New Orleans dance music into the 21st century. Known for their irresistible grooves and heartfelt ballads, the band sheds light on forgotten gems and continues to push the music forward with their own unique voice. After a chance encounter, Chicago native Brandi Sanders has been thrust from the church into the limelight and continues to electrify audiences near and far. Swamp Heat is a testament to the R&B and Soul music of New Orleans. All we want to do is make you dance.

bq is a project developed to cure the world of its chronic unfunkiness. The only antidote is a concentrated dose of raw unfiltered Funk, and bq is a Funk delivery system designed to tear the roof off of your mind and put your groove back on the One.
aboveandbelow are a rock band that wants to play whatever they feel. Made of Chicago music scene veterans (ex-members of The Memories, bliss.city.east and solo), they bring their influences together to make music that is greater than the sum of their parts. The only rule the band instills when writing songs is, to write whatever they want. At times psychedelic, at times grunge, at times punk, at times indie, and sometimes even roots rock, but always something to keep us interested. Come along for the ride.
"Chicago's aboveandbelow are a band who play whatever the hell they feel like. Be it grunge, psychedelic, punk, indie, or anything in between, this trio refuses to be defined, which is a refreshing middle-finger to the microgenre-bending gymnastics that dominates the musical landscape."
