Dear Donors,

I couldn’t say it better than Cole. “The Arts of Life is an awesome place where disabilities don't matter. We are all equal here.” For our 60 artists, The Arts of Life provides a meaningful outlet for self-determination, self-expression and personal growth. But we can’t do it without you.

This has been a momentous year as we crafted our new mission statement, launched the Artist Enterprise Program, and opened Circle Contemporary, our new gallery space in Chicago. Why now? Because our artists called for it now. Our commitment to collective decision making puts the reigns in the hands of the artists. And in the past few years we heard loud and clear - our artists want to grow and be recognized as true professionals within the greater artistic community. And so, we innovate to make that possible.

Will you help? Your tax-deductible donation will help to fill our shelves with art supplies, to cover the transportation costs of our artists’ daily commutes and field trips, to hire summer youth employees and retain talented staff, and so much more.

Not only that! If you donate online on #GivingTuesday - Tuesday, November 28 - you can leverage your own gift and double your impact! The Coleman Foundation is generously offering a match on this global day of generosity. Specifically, your donation of $25 or more will secure a match on #GivingTuesday only!*

In 2018, we plan to increase partnerships, collaborations, and new opportunities for public exhibition. We will work with each artist to identify a career track - Foundation, Maker, Curation, Career, Education - and determine professional development goals within those tracks. We will also continue to work to change society’s misconceptions regarding individuals with disabilities by showcasing and celebrating their abilities.

Help us provide the rare opportunity for artists with disabilities to find meaningful employment in a professional studio culture. Together we can build a stronger, artsier world.

Warmly,

Denise Fisher

Executive Director
