Cole Fox was born in 1992 and joined the Arts of Life in 2014. His abstract artwork is ripe with experimentation, through adaptive art-making tools. The texture and brazen marks across his canvases reflect his natural enthusiasm and energy.
“Self expression. Express my feelings. I create things I like. And escaping disability. People can see my art and I am an artist and they don’t assume that I am disabled.”
Through the use of a communication, device Fox communicates his artistic concept, material preferences and artwork titles. His natural ability consistently yields interesting compositions and complex color schemes.
When he’s not making art, Fox runs the website go-somewhere.org, with the mission of “providing reliable reviews of disability-friendly restaurants and entertainment venues.” When asked about his work on go-somewhere.org, Fox said, “I really enjoy working on the website because I get to try lots of different restaurants. I also like advocating for people with disabilities.”
Fox’s artwork has been featured in local galleries throughout Illinois.
