About

Marianne Wehr passed away in 2021 – she attended the Chicago Studio from 2008 – 2016.

“I make art because I like to draw. It’s nice to draw and paint sometimes. It makes me feel better and is so good. My art is so beautiful. I’m inspired by my seat-mate Ridley, she comes up with ideas in her mind, I get my ideas in my mind. I like to draw people, flowers and houses. I draw my family. I use pastels, paint and markers. Because they are fun to draw with.  When I look at my artwork, I can see it’s very nice. I see all the colors in my artwork as being very pretty. Other people say they like it and I have good technique. I could be a famous artist. I would like to try to draw plants and sell more of my artwork. I inspire myself! I’m good at art, at painting the pictures! I know what to do.”
