Quinn Zenner was born in 1973 and joined the Arts of Life in 2011. His art is easily recognized, with its psychedelic patterns and splashes of deep color. An air of mystery permeates Zenner’s work as he explores themes of Ireland, acceptance, love and space.
“I have been doing art for years. I wouldn’t say ‘professional artist.’ That’s the wrong label for that. I’d say I’m just an average guy.”
Bright colors and heavily outlined shapes tend to rule Zenner’s mixed media paintings, bringing order to the chaos. These dynamic visual elements balance and complement one another, creating a patchwork of thoughts and ideas from Zenner’s mind.
“It’s kind of like a telescope when you look, like a glare, something that you are seeing in the far distance. The mystery of the unknown. I think it’s the unknown subconscious. It’s kind of like a mixture of brain waves.”
Zenner’s artwork has been featured at local galleries, including a 2014 solo exhibition titled “Outside of the Box.”
