Quinn Zenner was born in 1973 and joined the Arts of Life in 2011. He is an abstract thinker whose artwork reflects the intricacies of his mind. Zenner typically renders symbols and figures spaced so tightly together that they appear to be interwoven.
“Take time. Whatever comes to mind. It floats in the head, you know? When you think something hard-core, or whatever, it just keeps releasing. In my view it’s very hectic.”
Zenner explores themes of Ireland, acceptance, love and time. A myriad of hues burst forth from the imagery, imbuing the works with vitality and life. These dynamic visual elements balance and complement one another, creating a patchwork of thoughts and ideas for the viewer to traverse.
“Art could be ideas to better society. Stereotypes. In relation to my art it’s like all different colors represent envy. The hardest thing is, how do you speak words that people cannot understand?”
Zenner’s artwork has been featured at local galleries, including a 2014 solo exhibition titled “Outside of the Box.” He is a member of the poetry group and was the Glenview studio’s artist of the month in February 2019.
