One week before the most exciting two minutes in sports, Arts of Life hosts an unforgettable party.
Come enjoy southern style cocktails from CH Distillery, craft beer from Old Irving Brewing Company and savory selections from Bluegrass restaurant. The evening’s entertainment includes live music from Chicago-based gypsy-italo-jazz ensemble, LaTosca, and the North Shore studio’s band, Van Go-Go, a silent auction, a live portrait artist and Derby themed art activities. Artwork from studio artists and our current exhibition Inside the Box will be on sale throughout the evening.
Unbridled is a festive evening for North Shore locals and Derby lovers who want to support the arts and progressive services for people with disabilities. All proceeds from the event directly benefit Arts of Life and our ability to sustain our program and continue to provide both a creative community and meaningful professional development for the 60 artists at our studios.
Chicago Magazine’s 2017 “Best Cocktail Band,” La Tosca is a unique historical and geographical fusion as the musicians come from Italy, France, Poland, China and America. Started by band leader Andrea Falcone grew up between Sardinia, Sicily and Milan and has been consequently exposed to the different influences of these regions. La Tosca’s eclectic sound transmits Andrea and his evolving band members desire to preserve, transmit and expand their regions musical traditions for a new generation.
Thank you to our host committee, Kristin August, Ann Brunett, LuAnn Hamel, Luke Kaplan, & Kristen Larkin.
