Van Go Go Album Release Party

Comfort Station
November 21, 2015 @ 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

The time has finally arrived! After 9 months of crowd funding, recording and production, Van Go Go is excited to announce the official release of their debut studio album. The musical arm of Chicago-area non-profit The Arts of Life, Van Go Go is a collaborative of musicians with and without developmental disabilities. The band has spent the past two years writing a brand new collection of songs, a tough order after their previous project Get the Dinosaurs on the Phone- a feature length rock opera music video.

Infused with a warm blend of reggae, roots rock, and funk, their sound delivers lyrical hooks and dance grooves that are bound to stick in your frontal lobe making your feet do things you thought only James Brown was capable of. Now after 9 months of crowd funding, recording and production, Van Go Go is excited to release their debut studio album to the world on Friday, November 20th at the historic Comfort Station in Logan Square. Doors open at 6:30pm and the show begins at 7pm.

This show is free an open to the public. CD’s and other exclusive Van Go Go merchandise will be available for sale. Comfort Station is located at 2579 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, IL 60647. Comfort Station is a multidisciplinary art space whose mission is to present challenging and stimulating programming that is open and accessible to everyone.

We are a community-centric organization offering a wide variety of programs: art exhibitions, concerts, film, workshops, lectures, participatory events, and more. As a historic building in the heart of Logan Square, we aim to create an active intersection of diverse Chicago communities and promote new connections between them. Comfort Station is all ages, wheel chair accessible, and gender inclusive.
