7Greens x Arts of Life

Arts of Life is pleased to announce the launch of local business and new community partner 7Greens-Chicago, which recently opened their first Chicago location a short distance from our Chicago studio at 218 W Washington St.

Founded in Detroit, 7Greens now operates three locations (Detroit and Birmingham, MI, and now Chicago, IL), each featuring an array of colorful, healthy farm-to-fork salads, wraps, shakes, and much more. As their featured community partner, Arts of Life will provide an ongoing art rotation within the newly designed space, featuring a new artist every two months.

To kick off our partnership we are displaying North Shore studio artist Billy Borgerd’s work. Stop in during the week to see the work up close and enjoy a healthy breakfast or lunch. Founder Kelly Schaefer shares her food and art enthusiasm with us below.

What motivated you to partner with Arts of Life for an ongoing gallery feature in your new Chicago location?
We wanted to give back to the community with more than just healthy food. We think that Arts of Life is an amazing organization that supports amazing people and their talents.  So for us if we can help promote and endorse the artists it’s a win!

What do you think makes 7Greens stand out?
We are a small growing company that focuses on healthy food that tastes good and we consider every employee in our company family and want them to further their success and life story with us thru the experience of really good food.

What sort of connections do you see between art and the food served at 7greens?
I think art is much like food… creative, fun, inspiring, and it brings people together.

Can you share your favorite menu item and why?
I would have to say my favorite item would be the Yoga Girl…Spinach, kale, quinoa, carrots, raw beets, spicy tofu, roasted brussels sprouts, and our 7G miso sauce with a drizzle of sriracha.

We are thrilled to develop our relationship with 7Greens and all they represent. Check out their online menu which should cater to all dietary needs and taste levels.
