Getting Ready for How We Make It

The How We Make It show is all about celebrating community.  Our community gathers to celebrate our founding artist, Ronnie Cuculich, while also showcasing our staff, interns, and volunteers’ artwork in appreciate for their dedication and support of The Arts of Life.
We are putting together the final touches in our gallery space today in preperation for the opening reception tomorrow Friday, April 5th from 6pm – 9pm at 2010 W. Carroll Ave.  In the picture above you will see Kelly Stone, an artist at The Arts of Life, checking out volunteer Bridget Bancroft’s piece for the show and fellow volunteer Sue Petzold installing the artwork.  Putting together How We Make It truly is a group effort.
The opening reception begins at 6pm and will start with a potluck dinner of Ronnie’s favorite foods.  The documentary feature Life and Where I’m At: The Life and Art of Veronica Cuculich will screen at 7pm with a special open mic dedicated to songs by Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, and Elivs to follow.  How We Make It is a free event and open to the public. We hope to see you there!
