North Shore Meet an Artist: Quinn Zenner

Being a man of culture is no easy feat. However, artist Quinn Zenner seems to have it down to a science! At the North Shore studio Quinn spends his time creating artwork inspired by famous artists, architects, and musicians. His compositions frequently fuse colorful imagery with his own poetry, combining his love for art and verse onto the canvas. When he’s not at the studio Quinn immerses himself in his creative writing and the music of his mentor, Tony Bennett. One of the North Shore studio’s newest volunteers, Eric Kane, spent some time talking with Quinn to learn more about his art making and cultural pursuits. Keep reading the interview below to learn what he discovered![[{“fid”:”6694″,”view_mode”:”default”,”fields”:{“format”:”default”,”field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]”:”Quinn sketching”,”field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]”:”Quinn sketching”},”type”:”media”,”attributes”:{“height”:366,”width”:652,”alt”:”Quinn sketching”,”title”:”Quinn sketching”,”class”:”media-element file-default”}}]] Do you have other roles at the studio besides being art maker? (Interests other than art?)Well I have many passions. My passions aren’t confined to one vein, but are informed by my daily struggles. What do you like to do when you’re not at the studio?Well, I like to catch up stuff that I need to do. Watching documentaries, concerts, improv and classic comedy. Comedy today is not the same as comedy we grew up with. If you could not be an artist, what other job would you chose to do?Art is the only thing my mom knows I’m good at. Psychedelics art is what I truly like to do. But, I’d like to be a musician. What is your favorite thing about The Arts of Life?Talking to my friend Phil and couple of my companions.
