Graphite on paper
19″ x 24″
Stone is one of the most dedicated artists in the program. In addition to being a multifaceted artist, he has served on the Curatorial Committee since its inception. This is an example of one of his heavily belabored works of graphite on paper. Stone seems to have an intuitive sense of exactly how far he can push his geographic designs without tearing the surface. Stone has worked at the Chicago studio since 2010.

Tim is a native of Park Ridge, IL, where he grew up with his father and sister. His interest in art began at the age of five, with Mickey Mouse as his first subject. Dissatisfied with copying the images of others, he took up abstraction and has been painting and drawing ever since. After joining Arts of Life, Tim has expanded his practice with forays into drawing, painting, collaborative projects, and sculpture. He is an active member of the curatorial committee, assisting community curators with selection and display of various local and national artists at Circle Contemporary. As a maker, Tim seems to have an unlimited supply of energy for his practice.
