We love our volunteers (and we always need more of them to love)! Our community thrives and depends on the unique skills and capabilities of everyone involved with Arts of Life. Our volunteers assist artists with projects, teach new art skills, design databases, plan special events, assist in grant applications, and much more. Apply to be one of our many helping hands or check out our Board of Director opportunities– we’d love to find a place for you!

Available volunteer opportunities are as follows.  If you have interest in an internship in one of these roles, please let us know that at your first visit to the studio.
Artist Mentor: The Artist Mentor is responsible for working directly with our artists one to one and in small groups during weekly program hours. This includes facilitating their creative process, teaching a new skill sets, assisting with goal implementation and tracking, writing daily notes, and keeping the studio in good repair.
Arts Marketing & Development: The Arts Marketing & Development Volunteer is responsible for working under the direction of our development team to create, organize and maintain the current marketing objectives. This includes fundraising, social media, and general public outreach.
Visual Arts Archivist: The Visual Arts Archivist is responsible for supporting studio archivers to document and catalog the creative output of the studio. This may include: photographing artwork, locating and identifying information and distributing that content and information for use inside and outside Arts of Life.
Gallery / Special Event Assistant: The Gallery/Special Event Assistant helps support the exhibition programming both inside and outside the studio. Working alongside our Curatorial Committees and Art Coordinators, Gallery/Special Event Assistants connect our studio to the broader arts community and help run exhibition openings, gallery hours, event set-up and breakdown, gallery maintenance, art sales, promotion, and art handling.
If you can't decide we may be able to help, sometimes we are able to figure out positions that allow you to volunteer remotely (after an initial orientation).
