Volunteers Matter

Volunteers are an inertial part of our community. They provide support and stability to almost every aspect within daily studio life. Our volunteers help us with fundraising, administration tasks, operations and work directly with our Artists. They are truly our backbone and we would not be able to provide the supports and services we do to all out artists without their help.

In April, Arts of Life celebrated the committed and amazing volunteers we currently have. They are a wonderful group that does so much for the community. We are grateful for their work and devotion to Arts of Life.

Become an Artist Mentor:

Do you want to join an art-based community in Glenview or Chicago? Do you have an interest in art?

We are currently seeking Artist Mentors to assist and collaborate with our artists in the pursuit and development of their creative practices. This volunteer position is vital to our community and is an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant, creative group of adult artists. Artist mentors are responsible for working directly with our artists one to one or in small groups during weekly program hours. This includes facilitating creative processes, teaching a new skill sets, assisting with goal implementation and tracking, writing daily notes and keeping the studio/supplies in good repair.
