Arts of Life Awarded $120,000 Grant from The Coleman Foundation
Arts of Life is the proud recipient of a $120,000 grant to support Chicago programming from The Coleman Foundation.
Arts of Life is being recognized for its work as an independent community day service to support adult artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Chicago. These funds will enable artists in the Chicago Studio to sustain their artistic practice and professional development. It will also support the launch of a South Side program in 2024.

“We share a commitment with The Coleman Foundation to promote individual choice and community integration,” said Denise Fisher, Arts of Life’s Executive Director and Co-Founder. “The Foundation has been a remarkable partner over the past ten years, supporting our staff capacity and the development of the Artist Enterprise Program. This generous investment will support staffing and supply costs so that we can increase our capacity, competitively attract and retain staff, and grow our artist roster.”
We congratulate the other grantees and look forward to putting this grant into action in 2024.
