Celebrating Five Years of Art on the MART

A major milestone in Arts of Life’s history arrived as 2020 came to a close. From November 12 to December 30, our artists’ work was projected on Art on the MART – the world’s largest permanent digital art projection.

City Circle Heart

Our projection – City Circle Heart knitted together colorful, abstract images by five studio artists in a dynamic moving image display. Featured artists were Marcelo Añón, Veronica Cuculich, Stefan Harhaj, Hector Jones and Maria Vanik with motion graphics by Lisa Armstrong and sound design by Chris Kalis.

Participating in Art on the MART brought our artists’ work to the attention of over two billion viewers from around the world. Without a doubt, it heightened the visibility of our artists like never before, creating a platform for both the artists and Arts of Life as a whole to raise awareness and representation of individuals with disabilities as true professionals within their creative field.

Fifth Anniversary Celebration

We invite you to join us in celebrating Art on the MART’s fifth anniversary with the worldwide debut of Only in the Dark by Dr. Yiyun Kang.

Dr. Yiyun Kang’s site-specific commission will unfold over three immersive scenes that mix digital animations with AI-generated imageries to explore how we can think collectively about a more inclusive future. The projections will be on view nightly from September 14 to November 15th.
