The Arts of Life Associate Board Presents: Art on a Hot Tin Roof 2016

Arts of Life – Chicago
July 30, 2016

What: A chic rooftop party featuring live artists, food, drinks, music and a raffle of exceptional gifts. All proceeds will benefit The Arts of Life, which for more than nine years has offered a unique work environment for adults with developmental and physical disabilities in Chicago. Who: Chicagoans interested in a night of “hot art” on the roof while networking with a diverse group of professionals, artists, and entrepreneurs. Why: Originally founded by twelve individuals with a passion for artistic expression and a need for an alternate system, The Arts of Life strives to provide a person-centric and compassionate community where each member takes ownership and has an equal voice in the day-to-day decisions being made. In 2009, Illinois ranked third for the number of individuals with disabilities living in institutions in the United States. Not only are institutions extremely expensive, but also lack opportunities for personal and professional development and treatment with human dignity. As an alternative day program, The Arts of Life offers an exceptional model for community and collaboration among artists with and without disabilities. Our Associate Board would love to meet you and your friends while enjoying the scenery and support of this amazing non-profit!
