Our Programs

We believe in inspiring artistic expression, promoting self-respect, and developing independence for all of our community members. We strive to create safe and supportive spaces for artists to experiment, take risks, and explore their creativity.

We are proud to offer a variety of programs to meet the needs of anyone interested in making art and connecting with fellow artists. Our collective decision-making model ensures that our artists have a voice in shaping and directing our programs, promoting collaboration and mutual respect.

Our Studios offer a robust range of supports and services for individuals with a sustained commitment to pursuing fine art personally and professionally. Through a highly progressive setting, we champion independence, self-advocacy, and self-respect by providing:

  • Facilitation and assistance from professional fine art staff
  • Career management and support
  • High-quality art materials
  • Access to project-based or career-focused groups

Our studios are a good fit for highly committed artists who are either pursuing artmaking as a career or consider it a core part of their identity. Artists work in a professional open studio environment three to five days weekly from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Our community programs are designed to break down barriers and provide new opportunities. Through classes and workshops, our artists are able to develop new skills, form meaningful relationships with other community members, and participate in leadership opportunities. Current partners include: Evanston Art Center and Art Center Highland Park. Our I/DD (Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities) Only Open Studio Workshops are ideal for those who are still getting comfortable with our program, have higher support needs, are new to art making, or prefer to be in I/DD-only spaces. Our Inclusive Open Studio Workshops are open to the public and are ideal for people who want to participate in art-making in inclusive spaces.
